How we prepare

  1. Handpicking the Nendran Bananas: Premium quality Nendran bananas are sourced directly from Kerala’s lush farms. These bananas are known for their firm texture and slightly green colour are perfect for crafting the crispiest chips.
  2. Peeling and slicing: We peel the bananas by hand in sanitized environments. On peeling, the bananas are sliced into thin, uniform rounds, using equipment designed for accuracy and cleanliness. This ensures even cooking and signature crispy texture. The quality of banana is preserved with no compromise on hygiene standards.

  3. Soaking in pure saltwater: Properly washed banana slices are soaked in pure saltwater solution, made with clean, filtered water and natural salt.This helps in enhancing the flavour and ensures the chips are perfectly seasoned. The soaking process also helps to reduce oxidation and retain the banana’s vibrant colour.

  4. Deep Frying: The soaked banana slices are fried in pure coconut oil, which is the traditional choice in Kerala for its rich flavour and health benefits. The frying is done at a controlled temperature to ensure that the chips become crispy without burning.
